Ask Me Anything @ My Live Q&A Tomorrow!
We're talking SEO, new assignments, and summer pitching
Hi everyone,
Greetings from New York City, where summer has been in full effect, kicking our butts with hot and humid weather sooner than we expected. The pic above is of my first crop of strawberries that are growing in the most New York way imaginable - outside the bars on my windows, in a windowbox, overlooking a parking lot full of trash, rats, and pigeons. We need beauty anywhere we can get it, don’t we?
I’m excited about my next live Q&A “Ask Me Anything” session tomorrow, which is the first I’m holding since March. I have a demanding travel, work, and family responsiblity schedule this summer, so the next one won’t be until at least late July so I hope you can join!
We’ll discuss best practices in summer pitching, story trends, editor layoffs (including one of my favorite editors at the Wall Streeet Journal) and the level of intertwining between affiliate and editorial teams. Past attenees have wanted to hear more about my current assignments so we can discuss that too (sneak peak: CNN, AARP, Midwest Living, RiteAid, Hilton Hotels, Sierra Club, and World Nomads!)
Date: Thursday, June 6th
Time: 12pm PT / 3 pm ET
Hope to see you tomorrow!
Cassandra
Live Q&A With Me TOMORROW
Wondering what these calls are like? Here’s what previous attendees have to say:
“I appreciate Cassandra’s time and the opportunity to hear directly what she’s looking for and get her feedback. I think it’s invaluable for us get have this access and get to know the writer and other publicists better.”
- Kristen Montag, Senior PR & communication manager, Meet Minneapolis
“I joined my first AMA with Cassandra today and loved the intimate feel and engaging discussion on a variety of topics. I took away a lot from the conversation – not only Cassandra’s insights but also hearing from fellow publicists. This definitely felt more productive to me than the larger group calls. No shade on them, they have value too, but this almost felt like a workshop or deskside. I am looking forward to the next one.
- Jennifer Sweeney, Principal, Jennifer Sweeney Communications
“Great to tune in today — thanks for indulging my questions! It was fascinating learning more about your work and process.”
– Selena Taylor, writer/photographer
