O. M. G. You saved the biggest shocker for last — made you eat elsewhere, solo, off-menu after *aaaall* that!? 🤯🥲🥲🙃🙃🫠

Hah… In all seriousness THANK YOU as always for your detailed “good PR” / “bad PR” stories — always great for us publicists to know *exactly* what you liked, disliked, (and in this case, what was just plain WRONG). 😬

I don't think they were being rude when they took me to the back room, I think they thought that was thoughtful, where I could sit properly to eat since the main room was very crowded and they only had high tables with no chairs. I didn't mind that, I was so annoyed with the situation that I was fine sitting by myself so I could fume. haha And thanks so much for letting me know you found this useful.

Only one type of cheese on the cheese plate. Incredible :)

I said hi briefly at IMM--it was nice to see you in person and I hope you enjoyed the conference.

Love this! I have hosted so many press dinners throughout my career. We've learned a lot along the way. Sharing this with my team!

I'm glad this was helpful. I think the problem is that a lot of PRs think that "oh, this is a free dinner for them, whatever", when really, it's a total waste of our unpaid time if it's not done well. I'd rather buy my own dinner and read a book than spend 3 hours chit chatting and small talking.
